Number of Apprenticeship learners by priority sector

There were about 7,600 Apprentices enrolled onto programmes within the priority sectors of Digital and Creative; Business, Professional and Financial Services; Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing; and Construction, or just over half of all Apprentices.

More detailed analysis indicates:

Digital Creative sector by Level

190 Apprentices were enrolled within the Digital and Creative sector. Almost 90% of enrolments within the sector were on Level 3 training and 9% on Level 4.

Business, Professional and Financial Services sector by Level

About 925 Apprentices were enrolled within the Business, Professional and Financial Services sector, of which more than half were Level 3 enrolments and 36% Level 4+ enrolments.

Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing sector by Level

Nearly 1,250 Apprentices were enrolled within the Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing sector. More than half of enrolments within the sector were on to Level 3 courses and more than a third on to Level 2 courses.

Number of Apprenticeship learners in the Construction sector by Level

Nearly 1,750 Apprentices were enrolled within the Construction sector. Half of enrolments were to Level 2 courses and 40% to Level 3.

Top 10 Apprenticeship Level 2+ programmes

Within each of these four priority sectors analysis of the top 10 Apprentice learning aims in terms of the number of enrolments indicates that these specific learning aims account for a significant proportion of all enrolments within these sectors.
