In 2020/21 Apprenticeship spend accounted for about £17.3 million of which:
24% was accounted for by learners living within both Birmingham and Dudley, Sandwell (15%), 12% in relation to Walsall and Wolverhampton (11%) with both Solihull and Coventry (7%).
Apprenticeship spend by LEP area (£)
62% was accounted for by learners living within the Black Country LEP area, 31% within Birmingham and Solihull LEP and the remainder within Coventry and Warwickshire LEP area.
Apprenticeship spend by Level (£)
31% related to Level 2 enrolments, 55% to Level 3 enrolments, with 14% Level 4 or more enrolments (1% of enrolments were unknown).
Apprenticeship spend by sector (£)
Building and Construction and Engineering were the two sectors accounting for the largest spend.
