Apprenticeship spend by Local Authority

In 2019/2020 Apprenticeship spend accounted for about £20.5 million of which:
24% was accounted for by learners living within Birmingham, 23% by Dudley residents, Sandwell (15%) and 12% in relation to both Walsall and Wolverhampton with Solihull (7%) and Coventry (6%).

Apprenticeship spend by LEP area

62% was accounted for by learners living within the Black Country LEP area, 32% within Birmingham and Solihull LEP and the remainder within Coventry and Warwickshire LEP area.

Apprenticeship spend by Level

34% related to Level 2 enrolments, 52% to level 3 enrolments, with 13% Level 4 or above enrolments (1% pf enrolments were unknown)

Apprenticeship spend by sector

Building and Construction and Engineering were the two sectors accounting for the largest spend.
