College Overview

Established in 1983, Joseph Chamberlain College is a large sixth form college close to Birmingham City Centre that serves the local communities and the surrounding wards. As a sixth form college, the college focuses the majority of its work on level 3 academic and applied general programmes, primarily as pathways to university programmes and degree apprenticeships. The college is the largest provider of A Levels in Birmingham, and has strong links with local and national universities, to which over 91% of our students progress each year. The college also supports students on programmes of ESOL and those who need additional support before progressing to a level 3 programme. In addition, the college also runs a smaller adult learning provision that focuses on the local skills priorities of providing basic skills, maths, English, digital skills and vocational ESOL to those who need it.
