Transforming Skills in the West Midlands

Today the Further Education and Skills Productivity Group (FESPG) has published its response to the West Midlands Combined Authorities’ request for evidence to inform its Productivity and Skills Commission’s forthcoming report on how to drive the productivity of West Midland’s businesses.

The Productivity & Skills Commission’s task of understanding the true extent of the productivity challenge in the West Midlands, identifying the component causes and making recommendations to address the issues identified, will cover five key areas of: Innovation, Skills, Enterprise, Investment and Competition.

The FESPG is a formal strategic partnership of 23 colleges, including all colleges within the West Midlands Combined Authority area, has responded with a clear vision for the skills agenda.
