Walsall College is committed to delivering excellent, inclusive learning which empowers students with skills and confidence to thrive in work and in life.
Established in 1952, the college offers vocational courses in most sector subject areas and a growing number of T Levels for 16-19-year-old students. Courses for learners aged 19 and over are available on a full-time, part-time day and evening basis, in the classroom and in the workplace.
With an increased community offer, the college supports adults wanting to develop their confidence and personal advocacy, with a view to becoming active, positive citizens, more able to progress and contribute to wider society.
The college has eight campuses – the main Wisemore Campus, Green Lane, Digital Engineering Skills Centre, Walsall Business and Sports Hub, Hawbush and Whitehall Campuses as well as a community learning provision at Pleck Library.
In 2024, the college opened The Link, a multi-service, drop-in facility in the centre of Walsall where residents access guidance and information around employment, training, careers advice and other support. The Link’s services are delivered in partnership with The Job Centre (DWP), The National Careers Service, social housing provider, whg, the University of Wolverhampton and Walsall Council.
Construction College Midlands in King’s Norton, Birmingham is also part of the college.
Higher education provision is well established in the college through direct funding for a range of Higher National Certificate and Diploma programmes and some Level 6 qualifications and degree apprenticeships.
Links with partners locally, regionally and nationally are strong and interactions with businesses have become a more prominent focus for the college over recent years.
