College overview:
Heart of Worcestershire College

Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) is proud to be a leading provider of high-quality technical and vocational education and training, serving learners from entry level through to degree-level study (Level 7). With four main campuses and a network of specialist centres across the county, we are firmly embedded in the heart of Worcestershire and play a vital role as an anchor institution in the region.

We are more than just a college — we are a key partner in the region’s economic growth. Recognised by the Local Enterprise Partnership, local authorities, and employers as the largest institution for technical education in Worcestershire, we work collaboratively to bridge skills gaps and develop a workforce ready to meet the needs of today and tomorrow. Our curriculum is shaped through strong employer partnerships, ensuring our offer reflects local, regional and national priorities while meeting the aspirations of learners from all backgrounds.

The college delivers programmes across almost all subject sector areas including education programmes for young people (learners aged 16-18 years), adult learning programmes, apprenticeship programmes and programmes for learners with high needs. Higher education programmes (levels 4-7) are offered in computing and digital media, business, sport and public services, engineering and early years, alongside a range of professional programmes including HR, management, marketing and accountancy. The college continues to work with a range of subcontractors including those who deliver niche provision.

We work with a wide network of subcontractors to offer specialist and niche provision, ensuring learners can access the right opportunities to succeed.
Our full-time study programmes attract a diverse group of learners, with strong demand in areas such as hair and beauty, health and social care, construction, automotive, and computing and digital media. Our apprenticeship provision continues to grow, with high enrolments in accountancy, business administration, and construction trades.

As a college committed to inclusivity and excellence, we provide tailored support for learners with high needs, offering both discrete and integrated pathways across technical and vocational programmes.
At HoW, we are passionate about unlocking potential, supporting community development, and driving economic growth through education. We’re here to improve lives through learning.
