Coventry College is located in the City of Coventry in the West Midlands. Its origins date back to 1829 when the Mechanics Institution was established to educate young weavers in subjects such as arithmetic, geography, grammar, and music.
Coventry College was formed in 2017 following the merger of City College and Henley College. It is a vibrant, one campus college predominantly serving the local Coventry community.
The College’s core provision primarily supports 16–18-year-olds, with around 3,000 school leavers enrolled across a broad curriculum. Subjects range from performing arts and games design to business, science, construction, and engineering.
Renowned for its adult education offer, Coventry College upskills thousands of adult learners annually, with high rates of progression into employment including an extensive range of bootcamp and into employment provision with a particular USP in green skills.
The College boasts industry-standard facilities and has invested significantly in its campus including with the use of Strategic Development and Local Skills Improvement Funding. It now has a dedicated retrofit training academy, Virtual Reality Learning Lab, Hospital T Level Suite and a fully electrified motor vehicle training facility.
